About Vantoloc
A small parent company for focused software products.
Vantoloc is the company behind the products. Each product ships under its own name and has its own identity — but they all share the same standards, the same infrastructure, and the same quiet promise.
Mission
Build the parent company we wish existed when we shipped our first product.
Most independent software either gets acquired and slowly decays, or stays solo and burns out its founders. Vantoloc is the middle path: a small, durable company that lets a handful of products grow up together without losing what made each one good.
That means shared design and engineering principles. It means a consistent commitment to privacy, longevity, and craft. And it means a name that stays put — so customers of any product under Vantoloc know there's someone responsible for what they bought.
Story
Where we are right now.
Vantoloc started as a way to give a few side-project products a proper home — somewhere to share a domain, a logo system, a support inbox, and a few legal agreements. It grew from there.
Today we're a small team shipping a mix of consumer mobile apps, desktop software, and our first SaaS product, currently in private beta. We're not in a hurry. The plan is to keep this page updated as we go.
The name
What “Vantoloc” stands for.
Van — vantage, advantage, the long view. We're building for the long view.
To — the connective tissue. The part of the company that ties products together and keeps them shipping.
Loc — place, location, locus. The point where things come together. Where software meets the people who use it.
Read it however you like — but the throughline is intentional: vantage, craft, and the place where good software lives.
What we care about
Four quiet commitments.
Quiet software
We'd rather ship one good thing than three loud ones. Our products are designed to do their job and get out of the way.
Owned by the people who use it
When possible, our products run on your device, export your data in plain formats, and don't punish you for leaving.
A long horizon
Vantoloc isn't chasing a single launch. We're building a parent company that can keep supporting its products for years.
Respect for the work
We write clear docs, we answer support emails, and we treat our software like a craft — not a funnel.
